I have recently started summer-fying my work desk to add a little inspiration to my days. As I was perusing one of my favorite sites, Made By Girl I came across this stunning LOVE print in gold. It’s so stunning I ordered it immediately! It inspired me to create a gallery styled wall full of quirky prints (don’t be surprised to see the Gold Lips, Skull Pattern, and a little Chanel No. 5 up there!).
Friday Favorites: Gingered Blueberry Shortcake
Happy Friday!
As you know this weekend is Mothers Day, but it is also my lovely sister’s 25th birthday! So this weekend will be busy with family, BBQ’s, some good wine, and of course lot’s of dessert. Well, it will be around 90 degrees here in San Francisco so instead of making my normal cheesecake for the ladies this year, I wanted to spice things up in the cake department. I found this amazing recipe of of CookingLight.com for a gingered blueberry shortcake and I about fainted it sounds so good. With the airy, buttery dough of a shortbread and the fresh fruity tang of the the blueberries and ginger! I cant wait!

Queen Cara’s Latest Gig as Miss Vogue’s First Cover Girl
Back in January there was some exciting news spilled over Twitter that British Vogue was launching their teen offshoot this Spring. The young magazine is to be called MissVogue and for their very first edition Cara Delevingne is gracing the cover!
Cara has quickly risen to the top of the model totem pole and it looks as if nothing can stand in her way. She is one of the top hired models right now and was strutting in more runway shows this year than one can count.
To use Cara was a smart strategy for the newest glossy, she’s young enough to appeal to their demographic, but old enough to show off a little edge and excitement. With teen celebrities such as Elle Fanning and Kendall and Kylie Jenner, it’s easy to see why British Vogue chose this upcoming and booming market to penetrate. The world of fashion is shifting into high gear towards the teen market and I believe this magazine will be a great addition to the Vogue family.
Don’t forget to grab your copy of MissVogue for June 2013!

Everyone’s Issue with Gwyneth and her ‘Elimination Diet’
A few article’s have surfaced recently about Gwyneth Paltrow and her latest extreme, fad diet; same old same old. But this time, the ‘Elimination Diet’ was forced onto her husband and children’s already tiny tummies. Her and her family have been getting a lot of coverage on this subject, from articles in almost every paper, new coverage, paneled discussions even! Well, to say the least people have been scrutinizing her, her health, and her parenting abilities for forcing her children participate in such a ridiculous diet. According to Gwyneth the family nixed coffee, eggs, sugar, shellfish, deepwater fish, potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplants, corn, soy, dairy, wheat, and meat from their life.
In this video interview on Current.com, a panel made up of health experts and they explain that this is not necessarily the most insane diet they have seen from todays starlets. Gwyny’s diet only sounds extreme, because of all the item she has… well… eliminated, as the title calls for. Although, in reality, she’s just being upfront. The panel explains that when women say they are cutting out ‘carbs’, they really have no idea what are technically carbs. These women only cut out breads, cereals, starches, etc. But the fact is, carbs are in fruits, veggies, yogurt, and whole grains! So these “NO CARBS” dieters are really just a bunch a fakes.

Today has been full of beautiful inspiration and sunshine. I just had to share this photo I found that represented a culmination of my afternoon. A day of sketching, espresso in tea cups, and my new tortoise glasses!
